We Should Talk.
Uttered enough by me,
Those lemon words
Dripping from my
Whirlwind heart.
Oblivious o my head
Trying to save me from
Shattering
On the floor.
I’ll only say them to
You.
You’re
The only one who doubts me,
Yet the only
One
Who understands.
Oh, not all of it of course.
To be understood is
To be boring,
Said my grandmother.
I think she meant it
Differently. In the
Same sense,
If you doubt me still,
I can’t make you
Understand.
But you might see
How the sound of
We Should Talk
Makes me shiver inside,
Like when I drink those Smirnoff shots.
I don’t want to make
That noise.
It’d mean you saw our hearts
Through my eyes.
